About us

The International Central Gospel Church is a socially conscious Christian church that upholds human dignity and excellence.

What ICGC is all about

Based on Matthew 16:13–18 and Matthew 28:18–20, we do two things: make disciples, meaning individual believers committed to the teachings of Christ, and build churches, meaning communities of believers making Christ known to the world.

Marks of a Disciple

A disciple learns from Christ, is led by the Holy Spirit, lives to please God and leads people to Christ.

Our Primary Commitment

Drawn from Acts 1:8 and Matthew 5:13–16, we prepare members to be a blessing to the world. We break the spirit of inferiority, cultivate a spirit of excellence and play our role in God’s end-time agenda.

We bring leadership to our generation, shape its vision and influence society with the principles of the Kingdom of God.

Our Global Family

ICGC was founded by Dr. Mensa Otabil, a pastor, educator, entrepreneur and speaker. The church’s worldwide network of ministries is headquartered in Accra, Ghana. He is chancellor of Central University College, hosts the broadcast The Living Word, and has authored numerous books.

Our Pastor

Rev. Martinson Sarfo

Rev. Sarfo has served in God’s harvest field for over 20 years. He studied at the University of Science and Technology and Central Connecticut State University, and pioneered the International Central Gospel Church in Connecticut.

A dynamic, passionate and gifted teacher, he teaches the Word with clarity and humor. His love for the body of Christ drives him to restore people to their royal identity and empower believers to live the abundant life.

Statement of Faith

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, and in His bodily resurrection.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as a subsequent gift to salvation.
We believe in the provision of bodily healing in the atoning work of Jesus our Savior.
We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved unto eternal life, living eternally in the presence of God, and the unsaved unto eternal damnation.
